Otley Road, Baildon

Otley Road at Baildon is a busy junction on the local highway network. Following our clients success in obtaining permission to build a new DIY superstore and drive thro’ restaurants Peter Duffy Limited were appointed to carry out the construction of S278 incorporating a signalised junction, and S38 highway works.

The works were located on a very busy junction and the introduction of traffic management to carry out the works was only going to put more pressure on the local road networks whilst the woks were carried out. Close liaison with the local highway authority through regular meetings and the development of traffic management plans to ensure the works could be carried out with minimal disruption.

The coordination and management of statutory undertakers were required as part of our contract, with diversions and modifications works required to their apparatus to allow the works to be constructed.

Our scope of works included: earthworks, drainage, ducting, Traffic islands, Traffic signal installation, street lighting, Footway works, Surfacing, Co-ordination and management of statutory undertakers.
